The James Beard Foundation’s ‘Taste America’ mission is to “celebrate, nurture, and honor America’s diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and inspire”. The night began with a tasting reception featuring an outstanding lineup of a few Charleston favorites: Jeremiah Bacon, Craig Deihl, Kevin Johnson, Josh Keeler, and Jason Stanhope. Then the night followed with an exclusive four-course seated dinner designed by Art Smith and Mike Lata, with dessert designed by Lauren Mitterer. The atmosphere was full of exquisite food, fine chefs, and even a few celebrities. Taste America raised over $100,000 for their cause and became an absolutely unforgettable night.
